well, lots of happening events happened during these 5 months.. happy, exciting, sad, worries etc.
i had the best time in my life (till now) in late march to early april when the threesome drove up to San Fran and LA... the highlight was of course the Disneyland.. spent 2 entire days there and i cried when we decided not to return on the 3rd day coz it was going to be a Saturday and the crowd was already very bad on friday..really looking forward to my yr end trip to Disneyland (AGAIN!!!) in FLorida.. that's provided ZW manage to find a slot to take leave..
Had a pleasant surprise in midapril then got me n ZW really excited and happy and more forward-looking...and then there was the sickening swine flu that got me worried coz my parents, sis and bro-in-law had booked a tour to New York in may and were flying into Phx to visit us... lots of information from ZW's office such as quaratine etc got me really worried and stressed that i cried big time..
it was very stressful coz threesome went for the alaska cruise, only for ZW to get clearance from his boss the day before we were scheduled to fly to Vancuour.. the piglet fell sick with fever and running nose on the day too.. had to rush him to hospital to test for influenza and get clearance letter to fly..me n ZW really hugged each other tightly when we finally board the cruise ship...it was like a dream come true for us coz we always wanted to go to alaska cruise for our honeymoon..
days on the cruise went by quickly and happily for threesome till the last 2 nights when our nightmare began..threesome were forced to disembark from the cruise ship due to my condition and again.. it was stress and more stress... i guess ZW felt the most stress coz he was suddenly left alone to pack all our luggages n fed my piglet within 30 min while i was sitting helplessly in the medical centre onboard the cruise..
i am still having that nightmare till now...trying to let go... but every single details, every single examination by the docs etc still seem so real..i felt really bad for ZW and my piglet for instead of enjoying the last day on cruise and going to visit Seattle.. the threesome were stuck in the hospital with me for checkups and in the hotel while waiting for phonecalls from insurance company etc for flight arrangement etc..
I was surprisingly calm that few days.. maybe i was hanging on for the sake of my hubby and son...but i really broke down the moment i reached home..tears flowed for days as i had to go for more checkups, n maybe months..am tearing as i typed again...
i was strong again for the following week when my parents flew in to visit me..coz i dun wan them to be worried abt me..
i am really thankful to ZW for really tolerating my moodswing..
next episode up was when my piglet went down with fever abt a month ago... he went down with fever without any symptons of falling sick.. he jsut woke up 1 morning feeling slight feverish.. and the temperature never went down since then.... hi temperature was hovering around 39 to 41 degree C for abt 4 days before it suddenly went away and rashes outbreak...those few days were stressful X infinity.. though piglet was behaving normally ...i was wishing that i was the one with fever rather than him during that week...
during the independence day long weekend, ZW drove threesome up to Desert Hills for outlet shopping... for my retail therapy... i really went crazy.. i bought more bags than i ever bought in my entire life... i am now a proud owner of 7 coach and 1 kate spade bags... think these bags maybe used till i stopped working like 30 yrs later...the damage on ZW's wallet.. think abt USD 2000.. haha... but not shiok... think i feel more high if i am spending my own money..
Mother-in-law will be coming over in Aug.. threesome will be driving up to LA and LV again...will try to update more then...
the last few months of happening make me realise to treasure every single happy moments, things, lives that we have.. coz before we know it, they may be taken away from us...memories only make pple sadder till we find something better or reposses something, then maybe we will be able to let go a bit...but it will never be forgotten...

haven been updating my blog for a long long time..
piglet fell sick abt 2 weeks for chinese new year. making me so stressed coz this is the first time he is sick since he was borned (he is reaching 15 months soon)... got me stressed up plus the pds and docs here are totally useless.. no perscription of medicine.. just told us to continue our Tylenol to bring down his fever and let his cough n flu recover by themselves...
piglet is a supercarrier.. he got both me and ZW sick jsut before new year too.. ZW totally lost his voice during the new year's eve weekend and the first 2 days of new year... me was sick too.. but was more contained...
piglet seems to be recovering well during new year..till the following fri when he suddenly ran a fever at night... decided to bring him to see pd again the next day only to realise that his cough is quite bad and got his ear infected too.. now on antibiotics and 2 other medicines... piglet lost more than 1 kg since he falls sick... lost his appetite for food and milk.. his total intake for milk now is slightly more than 200ml per day as compared to 700ml usually... instead of 3 solids, he is only on 2 solids now..sob sob.. he is also not sleeping well.. often waking up at night to cough till he 'vomit' out his phelgms..ZW and me are true members of the panda family liao
while ZW is recovering, it is my turn to have fever and serious cough till my whole body is in pain... but there is no chance for me to catch a proepr rest...
ZW is leaving for his combat archer detachment to Florida next Sat (14 Feb) and will only be back on 4 March.. really pray for piglet to be fully recovered by next week.. else dun think i can cope alone for these 3 weeks.. the mentall stress and physical tiredness..hope i dun break down

decided to continue my blogging marathon coz dun wan to have things carried over to the new year (qian guo nian is not good)... haha.. lame.. watever
Our initial plan for the Xmas trip was to drive up to Grand Canyon on 25th then then stay over at Flagstaff Fort tuthill on the same night. 26th to go Snowbowl Arizona (skiiing resort) and 27th to visit the Flagstaff old town then go home...
who knows... it was fated that a 2nd round of winter storm was going to take place on 24th night till the weekend... and since the road drive up to Grand Canyon is rather narrow.. we decided to cancel that plan and to go straight to Flagstaff... haiz... hopefully i get to see the snowy Grand Canyon and take the train ride before the snow melts by march next year...
anyway, the drive up to Flagstaff was rather scary and exciting too... the rain was pretty heavy then there was fogging and finally snow...as we drove up to Flagstaff, the temperature dropped from 70 F (abt 20 degree C) to abt 20 F (abt - 8 degree C)... i guess the car engine was feeling chilled and decided to pop up the 'service engine soon' light... got me and ZW worried that our car will break down halfway during the trip... thank goodness... all went well.. in fact out of the 3 cars that went up to flagstaff aka SMO's nissan murano, Liqun's Audi and our Buick Redeevous, ours is the best coz it is 4-wheel drive and proved its efficiency and power when all 3 cars got frozen and stuck in the snow overnight...our car can get out of the deep snow easily once we melted the ice on the wheels... SMO's car was the worst and needed the MEN to push his car out.. haha... imagine 4 guys taking almost 4 hrs just to clear the snow and ice on 3 cars and get the cars moving... this is so exciting... hot water had to be poured onto the windshield, side mirrors and doors too... yah.. we could not open the car doors coz they were frozen with ice also..
okie.. on 25th night... once we all reached Fort Tuthill at abt 3pm.. the time was spent just lazing around coz it was cold and everyone was tired and still adjusting to the weather... only went out for snow fight with ZW and he made two little snow men outside our A-frame hut.
26th morning: as mentioned earlier, was spent trying to get the cars out of the snow
26th afternoon: Off to Snowbowl Arizona!! Liqun was not comfortable with driving his Audi up in the snowy condition so we all went off with just 2 cars (SMO's and ours).. the weather was COLD!!!!! like -10F up on the mountain.. making it like -20 degree C... Liqun Jingyi and Siang Peng went off to skii.. while the 2 families with babies (aka SMO , Shirley and Issac with us the threesome) go walking around taking photos to mark our attendace at the skiing resort...
26th evening: the jam was bad as we descended from snowbowl.. took almost 1 hr to travel the distance that will usually take abt 15min.. we had our dinner at Red Lobster... both me and ZW had pastas (his is Lobster and Prawn Pasta while mine is Crab Pasta).. din really get to enjoy the dinner coz my piglet was fussing.. he had constipation and was crying throughout the dinner and could only manage abt half a bowl of cheese brown rice.
27th morning: as the weather was good overnight.. the cars were in the ready-to-go mode... no need for melting the ice or pushing the cars etc... we had our last bit of fun in the snow till 11am before going on our separate way.... the rest went shopping at sales in different place while hte threesome decided to head home coz we did not sleep well during the trip... coz the threesome had to squeeze onto 1 queen bed for 2 nights and my piglet was like occupying 3/4 of the bed... haha... missed my bed badly.. as i was unpacking the stuffs from the car, i realise that our water bottles (filled with water) are still frozen in solid ice despite the drive back from Flagstaff took more than 3 hrs... i really wonder what was the temperature at night outside when we are tucked warmly in our bed...
throughout the trip, my piglet was the happiest as he goes 'oh ho' every now and then.. he gets to slide with daddy and also walk on snow... in fact he even tasted a bit of snow while we were having snow fights... and while we were all shaking and freezing, he was smiling away and laugh happily... in the resort, he gets to play with didi Issacc too...no more boring home with restricted boundary for him.. haha.. no wonder he is so upset these few days.. coz he is being confined at home.. haha
well, here to go.. the first snowy Xmas in States for the threesome...
will try to test my patience by loading the photos now... if going to take very long.. i shall post up the rest in Facebook instead..
i am really not looking forward to new year coz that marks the end of ZW's leave for 2008 and he is going off for another 3 weeks for Florida detachment in Feb... and our next trip is going to be a long long time to come in May for our Alaska Cruise... hopefully my parents and sis are able to join the threesome..

decided to do a bit of update now since it is so peaceful.. haha.. coz ZW on night shift and piglet is happily playing after his milk...
okie... topic will be on the threeesome's 1st Xmas celebration in States... started off on 19th Dec at ZW's office aka the 425th Widow Squadron... that day was declared an off-day for everyone and only had to report at 4pm for the event...
that was also the first day my piglet officially really dare to walk/ run without us holding his hands or rather he pushing us away so that he can walk in peace.. i almost had a panick attack coz he always like to walk to where the crowds are...had a tiring night chasing after him while ZW happily went to eat his honey ham and turkey...
on the silent night aka 24th Dec.. it was an off day for all too... so the logs officers and family have a Xmas gathering at SMO's house.. it was also meant as a planning-cum-confirmation session for snowy Xmas trip.. had a very nice evening with too much food and games and presents (thanks to SMO and wife).. we also had our gift-exchange (had lots drawn to decide who to buy whose present earlier on 19th Dec).. my piglet had a good time too... eating and playing with SMO's son.. didi Issac and his toys... hmm... conclusion.. kids always like to go to where the crowds are.. the 2 boys always ended up playing the toys together though there are plenty in the living room...
we left at abt 10 plus and me had to pack luggages and load them into the car till almost 1am.. so tiring...and that's my silent night... haiz...

December is definitely a month that passes by very quickly as there are so many events going on.. in fact starting from end of Nov (Thanksgiving sale), we have been shopping non-stop.. our bank account went down from 3k plus to 700 in less than a month... oops.. no wonder ZW was screaming when he checked the online statement the other day.. haha..
Piglet made me very worried and stressed for almost 2 weeks after his jabs... refusing food and milk totally.. thanks to many for ur concerns when u guys saw me vent frustration on FB.. he is now sort of back to normal in terms of his intake... as for his behaviour... he is still as active as ever even on days when he is on food strike... running around in the living room, trying to break through the barrier/obstacles that i set up in the living room, climbing stairs.. he is really keeping me busy.. he is still muttering his baby language most of the time.. n will only scream/cry for 'mama' when he is extremely hungry (which seldoms happen in the day and mostly at night when he wakes up due to hunger.. and yes.. me the panda still needs to wake up and give him night feeds twice since he does not eat much in the day)
December is also the month when piglet gets to go out very often coz ZW is clearing his childcare leave and also there are lots of official gathering from his squadron.. he gets to play and run around.. making me tired as i have to chase after him in case he got bumped by pple etc...

He had 4 jabs on that day too.. for Hep A, Chicken Pox, Flu and MMR.
Had his blood test which was very scary.. coz the blood veins on his arms are too small so that MOs had a hard time trying to locate them.. they stuck a needle into his right arm first and ended up digging a big blood trying to draw the blood ..really like SAF MOs =(.. failed... ended up they had to try on his left hand.. so the day ended with my piglet having 2 bandages on both arms (near the elbow)..
The family of threesome been busy with Xmas gathering and trip... just back from a snowy Xmas trip... stay tuned for more updates soon.. i promise =)
Have not been updating my blog for quite sometime.. 3 weeks to be exact.. really busy with my piglet as he grows and develops each day. I love the month of November.. lots of happy dates, like my dad’s birthday (4th Nov, which happens to be my Guo Da Li 2 yrs back), my piglet’s birthday (8th Nov), and my wedding anniversary (26th Nov).. not forgetting that over here in US, there is Thanksgiving too..
ZW just went back to work today (Mon) after a long stretch of holidays (Thurs was Thanksgiving and Fri was holiday too, including weekends that is 4 days of break straight). He had a short day on Wed too (9am to 6pm) which happens to be our wedding anniversary.. but nothing special loh... no present from him and i still have to cook dinner for him.. sigh.. life of a maid... what to do.. hee hee.. hope he feels guilty if he ever reads this...
Thursday was spent at SMO’s house for gathering ..a few of us stayed till dinner to discuss on what toys to buy for our kids (the 2 babies are 8mths and my piglet at 12.5 mths).. looking at sales and cheap buys. It was a memorable day too for me and ZW as we witnessed a new sudden ‘milestone’ of our piglet in SMO’s house.. maybe it was a new environment so my piglet was walking around from 1 end of the house to the other end which was more than 10m long...(PS: my piglet has been walking only a few steps at home till then).. and he even runs!!! Faint!!! Can foresee that i am going to be busy busy with him soon!!!
Friday was a shop-till-legs-cramp day when me and ZW went shopping starting at 10am till 6pm with no break or food... damn tiring..managed to buy lots of clothes for ourselves and for the first time, no toys for my piglet.. BUT we already placed online orders for some toys on Thurs at SMO’s house.. haha...
Sat and Sun was supposed to be rest-at-home days.. ended up we still spent half day on each to shop at Toysrus and Walmart.. managed to buy a Xmas present for my piglet and also a new vacuum cleaner for the house.. yea yea...

Wow.. time really flies... it just seems like yesterday when i was crying on my way to the hospital to deliver my piglet (my piglet came out early at week 36, slightly premature) and it just feel so recent that i had just gone thru my labour pain etc... and then my piglet is 1 year old already!!!!
well, it has not been easy for both me and ZW to handle this baby. there are many conflicts (i use 'are' coz we are still having conflicts every now and then) between us and even his and my family.. there were many moments when i even tot that having a baby that soon after getting married was a mistake( PS: my wedding anniversary is 26 nov.. Aklen's birthday is 8 nov.. slightly less than a year).. but i guess i really make the right choice of following ZW to US... away from family which are usually the cause of conflicts.. though i still miss my family, friends and work.. i am really thankful for the moments i have with my boy and ZW now.. tiring and stressful but very happy and fulfilling...
anyway.. ZW is finally back from his Las Vegas detachment... the next time he will be away again is March to Florida... sigh... will think and grumble abt that next year.. haha... glad that i survived well... in fact i lost 2 kg during these 3 weeks.. only to gain them back again in 1 weekend with ZW...haiz...me still having the extra 10kg from pregnancy..
ZW came back on Sun and Mon was his off-day.. so off we went to Arizona Mills (shopping outlets) for my boy's birthday gifts... bought 2 toys for him and 1 toy for my nephew (1.5 mths younger than my boy).. bought clothes for both my boy and nephew too... had claypot fish and char siew and roasted duck for dinner at the resturant in an oriental supermarket for dinner.. yum yum... my first decent dinner in 3 weeks... haha.. fat fat fat..
ZW went back to work from tue to thurs... he took leave on fri so that we can spend time together with Aklen on his birthday at SIN timing. We let Aklen choose 1 of the 2 toys we bought for him.. the rest of the day was spent at home.. quality time as a family together...
On Sat, me started preparing the food stuffs for the night gathering... me cooking 'wu xiang', fried chicken and sambal prawns with cuttlefish balls... went to collect Aklen's birthday cake too... then night time came the gathering, eating, cake-cutting and lots of toys for Aklen too...
arghhhhhh... realize i am too lazy to type... am sure you can feel it from my boring narration above... shall let the photos do the talking instead... 
alright... shall post again soon when i have more updates... poor Aklen going for 4 jabs and a blood test (all in a day) next week for his 1 year old assessment.. trauma again..sob sob

Manage to squeeze in some time today to update my blog as my hair is wet (i just bathed) so i cant sleep, and i cant eat lunch coz i am down with gastric flu.. so since i got nothing to do... well just do a quick simple update...
it has been 12 days since ZW went to LV.. i am still surviving well with the little one.. thanks to occasional help from my neighbour Jingyi who just came over from Singapore abt 3 weeks ago... she bring food for me occasionally so that i dun have to end up eating instant food too often... PS: it is impossible to cook with my piglet around.. all eyes have to be on him on the time when he is awake... i cant cook when he is sleeping coz he is a light sleeper.. so well...
my piglet has become more mobile as days go by... he is able to go thru more difficult obstacle courses (PS: these are barriers that i set up to prevent him from crossing over to restricted areas).. his determination to climb over these obstacles causes my brain to constantly come up with better barriers for me... but my ideas are running out soon...
oh yah... ZW came back over the weekend (reached home at 12 noon Sat and back to LV at 2pm Sun)... very unexpected and really appreciate his thoughtfulness to let me have a break (i manage to catch a 4hr nap on Sat afternoon) though it was tiring on his part coz the journey from LV took abt 5 hrs drive...thanks a lot hubby...
today is my piglet's lunar birthday!!! on Deepavali day!!! for those who remembered, my piglet arrived on Deepavali last year....well, nothing special... just let him wear new clothes and have a new toy...mummy just too lazy to cook those noodles for him... oops.. i mean i am not feeling well... with a splitting headache and gastric flu.. am sure he will understand when he grows up...

Lots of reminders and requests from family and friends to update my dying blog... but i just feel so lazy and tired to update the blog... must really give credits to those who faithfully blog daily...
well, for the past month it has been very tiring and physically demanding for me as my boy becomes more mobile...crawling, climbing, standing and walking...my piglet is now at the 'cruising' stage.. walking well but with support... my house is always in a mess as i set up barricade to prevent him from venturing into undesirable places like the kitchen, toilet etc... toys are being thrown everywhere despite me keeping them on the tables, boxes etc.. they just get digged out by my piglet...
the piglet's sleeping time has also changed all of a sudden.. bad sign... he used to wake up at 8 plus in the morning, two 2-hr naps in the day and sleep at 8 plus at night... now... he wakes up 9 plus in the morning, a 2-hr nap in the day and sleeps at 10 plus at night... he is simpply a never-say-die-battery.. while me and ZW are like zombie already...
life going to get worse for me as ZW is leaving for his 3 weeks detachment to Las Vegas.. imagine me 24 hours a day with my piglet for 3 weeks!!! with no proper sleep n break...i definitely need lots of blessings... lots of lucks to me!!!!
oh yah.. the weather here is turning cold... have totally off the air con in the house.. at night have to on the heater.. temperature at abt 10 plus degree at night... 22 degree in the day... shiok...!!!! but kind of worried for my piglet.. hope he is able to cope well with the weather change...
